Gary’s wife, Chef Sarah Dall, needed to get creative for a photo-shoot involving Christmas and biscuit decorations. It needed to be something fresh, new and a little bit different. While walking on the beach a few days before the shoot Gary & Sarah found a piece of drift wood which was unusually straight and smooth and, as the saying goes, the light-bulb flickered. After a few hours of beach searching they managed to collect some more pieces that were similar in size and smoothness after who knows how long being washed around in the waves and sand. With a dash of creativity and a few hours of work they had the most beautiful and unique Christmas tree. If you have a few hours to kill this December and feel the creative urge, then go for walk along the beach and maybe you will find just enough pieces of driftwood to make your own Christmas tree. If you find a great piece but it’s still a bit rough, then sandpaper will do the trick.
