Source Food went jet-setting in September when our head chef was invited to fly over to Moscow to run a South African themed Gala Dinner hosted by Quest Travel. This Russian, high end, travel company approached Source Food to add a true local authenticity to the evening. Jonathan, our Operations Director & a regular on Expresso Breakfast show, flew over to run the dinner with assistance from Chef Bruno from Sicily & his team at the Hotel Rybka in Moscow. The evening was attended by 100 guests , including the South African ambassador, who were treated to a four course South African inspired menu paired with some of South Africa’s most delicious wines. Jonathan did 2 demonstrations during the evening, one using the very foreign Ostrich eggs.
And the other an educational demonstration on biltong and cured meats, finishing with a demo of a cured meat and grilled aubergine roll up.
