Wellness Warehouse | Consulting & Development

Our restaurant and retail consulting team work on a number of restaurant and retail projects, from concept to training and launch of new format stores as well as reworking existing concepts. For the launch of the new format Wellness Warehouse Cafe, we focused on a to-go range of food, highlighting the various dietary requirements of their customer. Raw, vegan, Banting, and free from sugar, gluten and dairy were the main considerations.

Our responsibilities were: research and trend analysis, full menu development (f&b), testing and creating SOP manual, recruitment & training, kitchen layout and procurement, packaging & design.

Massmart | Cafe Development

Massmart is in the process of developing a new generation café for their stores. We have been tasked with full menu development, general design and logistics for the café. We work with a professional design agency and project manager for the site build.

Mamamacs | Recipe Development

Source Food was briefed to create a cookie with very specific requirements to satisfy the needs of our client.  the brief was to develop a biscuit that could be made with a pastry sheeter, and was to sustain a child for the morning, and to be made to a specific price point.  We created a biscuit using fortified cereal, fruit and other low GI ingredients.  This biscuit has now gone into production.

Toks n Tjops | Recipe Development

Since launch of the popular Kyknet TV Show, Toks n Tjops, Source Food has completed all recipe development and food consulting for the show. The project requires that we meet certain dietetics needs as well as linking the weekly recipes to national retailer promotions. We work with the appointed chef to keep recipes current, simple and braai worthy.
