…And it’s taking Pick n Pay customers by storm. Pick n Pay recently launched a very exciting campaign called Super Animals. The campaign includes an educational book with facts on wild animals, games and notes as well as a collector’s tin. For each R150 you spend at Pick n Pay, you receive 4 animal cards. By use of a Super Animals sound card reader, one can hear the known sound the animal on the card makes, while reading a ‘did-you-know’ fact about them.
To help launch this campaign, Source Food got involved by developing and creating 5 recipes of kids’ lunches and treats, relating to the categories: The Sneakiest, The Smartest, The Weirdest, The Toughest and The Fastest. We also styled and shot 9 lunch and snack stills; one for each category (categories mentioned above as well as The Scariest, The Deadliest, The Fiercest and The Showiest). These videos are quick and easy with short steps to show a creative way of putting together kids’ lunches.
In addition to the stills and videos we created for Pick n Pay’s digital media, we also conceptualised and designed media hampers to promote the campaign. These were sent out to bloggers and media influencers to kick-start interest and spark a social media conversation about Super Animals. We designed custom boxes, filled with goodies such as homemade cookies, a fun decorating kit, a cute animal cupcake, custom designed animal masks, a sheet of stickers and we designed labels for each section. The boxes also included a sound card reader, a collector’s tin and a Super Animals book.
