As Easter is coming up, our Source of Inspiration for this week is the Easter Egg hunt! We all loved them as kids, and even now as adults, we still look forward to discovering little hidden chocolate gems.
We have a couple of ideas for you to spice things up a bit this year, whether you are arranging this for the kids, or yourselves!
Colour code eggs – with a ribbon or a coloured sticker: Assign each child a specific colour and allow them to look for their given coloured eggs only. That way each child will end up with the same amount of eggs and have an equal chance at finding them too.
Bag of clues: Give each child a bag with picture clues of where the eggs are hidden.
i.e. A picture of a bed/chair/coffee mug etc
Booby trap egg: Hide one plastic egg with a booby trap note inside. I.e “Give one of your eggs to your brother/sister”
Kind gestures: During the hunt, have a few “bunny notes” attached to some of the eggs suggesting doing something kind. I.e “Hop over to mom and give her a big hug”
Easter bunny footprints: Dip your fingers in flour and leave a trail of “bunny foot prints” leading to a few chocolate eggs
The Puzzle hunt: Draw a map of where the eggs have been hidden, cut it into a puzzle, and let the children begin the hunt, by building the puzzle map.
We hope these ideas inspire you as much as we did. Have fun with the hunt and enjoy some well-earned downtime with the family.
